Summer is coming and I'm getting ready, I only have a small place but it's gets warm fast. The Beer conditioner is a low cost substitute for an air conditioner. It draws cold liquid from the freezer of the bar fridge and makes me cooler on demand. This video documents it's creation. It's only for an occasional perk of cool and doesn't run full time. The fridge is located next to the window shown in the video and when open I can put the blinds on it in such a way that the majority of heat from the coils is deflected outside. airflow in this place is generally front to back so it works in this case, but rules of thermodynamics say it's a generally flawed notion to do this as the coils on the back of the fridge will produce more heat than the cooling gained. I Got the idea from a fellow youTuber. (Aggieneer2007) I had an old radio cooler but decided to upgrade and improve the 1 I had. This is the finished product, it can play: AM-FM Radio, SD card, CD, and any MP3 via headphone jack. It has a small amp under the marine speakers on top of the radio housing. Air horn with small compressor which is mounted under the speakers as well. It has 1 main power switch to turn everything on and off to save the battery when not in use also a push button for the horn. The whole cooler is painted with 2 coats of bed liner inside and out. (herculiner) It does and will hold about 30-40 beers with ice. Yes I put the drinks (beer) and ice in with the battery. The battery is an optima red top which is sealed so that nothing leaks, and has terminal covers so that nothing shorts out on the cans. The dry weight is 98.2lbs, so it's a little heavy and that is without the beverages and ice. This is my first cooler of this caliber and second radio cooler so please leave comments and ideas. Cleaning out the fans with a duster. The quality is pretty bad since I had to use my phone camera, but the amount of dust that came out was terrifying. You can't see it shooting out of the vents very well, but you can see when it starts to float in front of the camera. Doing this made a complete difference, idle and load temps went down by 15-20C. Before it was so bad, even watching a video on youtube would make the gpu vent rev up. If you've had your G73 for a few months and its heating up a lot, go down to Office Depot and buy a gas duster for 5 bucks and clean the vents. If you do this and it still doesn't help, you might need to repaste the cpu/gpu.

No matter what paint, no matter what paint adhesive...no matter how much you roughen the surface...the paint just does not want to stick.. It is very easy to just scratch it off..I would suggest just putting vinyl stickers to personalize it...The bed liner on the bottom worked well thou. 3. I originally wanted to paint the top white...but I didn't think it would be so labor intensive to sand the body filler...I would not waste my time again trying to sand it smooth...I didn't find out about body filler "glazes" and/or these rough fills to rough sand the body filler till after I gave up. I was sanding big bumps of filler forever when I just could have used the file. 4. Do not take the original wheels off. You will find that it is difficult to attach a new axel and wheels to it. Plus with those wheels I put on it didn't fit inside ...

I fed my need for dust control by making a custom air filters for my HAF 932 case. I used aluminum screen door mesh (charcoal black) bought in Home Depo and cut to size, folded 4 times and there you have a washable front bezel that will probably outlive you. PS To answer many questions I've been getting - its NOT necessary to fold mesh exactly 4 times, that number was chosen purely arbitrary to keep most dust out of the case. The more you fold - the denser mesh gets, so you get less dust BUT you're also increasing the air resistance (killing airflow). Find the balance you need for your set-up, its it the heat that bothers you the most or the dust? Remember, that ANY restriction, such as filter, will reduce airflow significantly, so please, understand this simple fact - I'm tired of hearing how people's temps gone up because they followed my advice - its simple, really. Filter=restriction=obstruction=lower airflow=less dust. Balance your case out according to your personal needs!
