Me fitting an "Akasa Vortexx Neo" to a "Powercolor ATI/AMD 4850 512mb" for a friends PC. Method should apply to most VGA coolers hope it is useful to someone. Good thing about this value cooler is it covers the RAM with aluminum but none the less it is better than separate sinks. It would be great if other more expensive solutions were designed to cover the RAM at least instead of just the GPU also all VGA coolers should be powered from VGA board.(take note manufacturers) I like a quiet PC myself so I will probably connect it up to CPU fan header as it is controlled by a fan controller.
